South Shore Furniture, in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission is now expanding the recall of the South Shore Summer Breeze 5-drawer chest. The model numbers are: 3746035, 3294035, 3219035, and 3210035. You may also have these models with the letter A on the end. These chests are over 30 inches tall and are unstable if they are not anchored to the wall. Please review the recall summary below for more information.
Since 2010, all South Shore products over 30 inches are delivered with a tip over restraint that complies with the U.S. voluntary industry standard (ASTM F3096-14).The safety and well-being of our customers are of the utmost importance to us. The recalled chests are unstable if they are not anchored to the wall, posing serious tip-over and
entrapment hazards that can result in death or injuries to children. The chests do not comply with the
performance requirements of the U.S. voluntary industry standard (ASTM F2057-14).

Consumers should immediately stop using any recalled chest that is not properly anchored to the wall and
place it into an area that children cannot access.

South Shore Furniture will fulfill in cooperation with Health Canada a voluntary recall of the South Shore Summer Breeze 5-drawer chest models: 3746035, 3210035, 3294035 and 3219035. Furniture over the height of 30 inches represents a tip over risk, especially if the anchor kit supplied by the manufacturer is not applied. Since 2010, all South Shore products over 30 inches are delivered with a tip over restraint that meets the U.S. voluntary industry standard (ASTM F3096-14). However, South Shore feels that it is important to contact you to remind you of the necessity to anchor your furniture.

Remedy:
Stop the use and place the recalled chest into an area that children cannot access, if you have not
installed the tip over restraint provided with your product.
Contact South Shore to receive a new anchor kit if you have not installed it or no longer have it in your

Summer Breeze style 5-drawer chest : 3746035, 3210035, 3294035 and 3219035. The model number is printed
on a label affixed to the back of the chest and on the assembly guide. The chests measure 44-inches high
by 31-inches wide and 16-inches deep and weigh 88 pounds.
