Our story
Eugène Laflamme
launches a wooden toy
factory in the outskirts
of Quebec city.
1940
11 years later, our
transition to home
furniture is officially
completed.
1951
In the late seventies,
we open our second
factory in Québec,
Canada.
1978
The eighties mark a
defining moment in
South Shore’s history:
we start transitioning
to ready‑to‑assemble
furniture, a first in Canada.
1987
We continue to evolve
and adopt new ways of
doing business. In 2004,
we dropship our first
Web order.
2004
Nothing can stop us:
we open our third
factory in Juarez,
Mexico.
2008
We implement
2 distribution
centers in Nashville
and Salt Lake City

To makean impact
We always had a firm belief in social responsibility.
It’s extremely important to us to be engaged within
the community who supported and encouraged us
from the beginning.
But how does a furniture manufacturer make a
difference? We always find time to help, whether
it is by donating our furniture or by organizing
philanthropic activities
